TNECD: TN Placemakers

TN Placemakers are excited  about a new opportunity from TNECD to support entrepreneurship. The TN Placemakers fund combines various sources of funding to help develop entrepreneurs into one program that is easy to apply for and allows communities and non-profits to apply for funds to asses needs related to entrepreneurship, build and sustain programs that help entrepreneurs, and train entrepreneurs.

TN Placemakers will start accepting applications in October, and planning several sessions across the state to roll out the program and hear from those who might be interested.

They will visit the MAAG region soon.

Thursday, October 18, UT Martin Satellite Campus, 214 Lakeview Rd, Somerville, TN 38068 @ 10 a.m.

Thursday, October 18, Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Rd., Memphis, TN 38120 @ 2 p.m

Contact Lindsay Gainous (Lindsay.gainous@tn.gov) to attend.

“The folks at MAAG have been a real asset for the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce. The assistance they provided with our DRA grant was immeasurable. Without it, I doubt if we could have pulled it off. The staff is passionate about their work and their commitment to making the
Memphis Region a better place is most evident.”
